Vapor is the most advanced cyborg the Humanoid Alliance has ever developed. He’s a finely honed weapon, a warrior without parallel, half man and half machine. No lock can contain him. No being can stop him. Whatever he wants, he takes.
He wants Mira Breazeal, the Designer’s daughter.
She’s his one temptation, his sexy target. Vapor shouldn’t crave her caresses, steal her kisses, make her scream with ecstasy. The cyborgs want her dead and they would question his loyalty if he didn’t kill her. The humans would shoot him on sight if he dared to touch her.
Their love is forbidden. Their desire could be lethal. One human and one cyborg will risk everything for a moment of passion.
Breathing Vapor is Book 2 in the Cyborg Sizzle series and is a STANDALONE story.
It is also a dark BBW Cyborg SciFi Romance.
Breathing Vapor Cyborg Sizzle Book 2 eBook Cynthia Sax
This book has a lot going for it- an honorable, sexy leading male (a virgin in the beginning, for those of you who care about that); a heroine that has a heart of gold buried beneath her initially cold exterior. As was the case in Releasing Rage, the chemistry was fantastic and the love scenes will leave you feeling tingly all over.It was, however, very violent; almost too violent for me to handle. On the second or third page they're already executing prisoners who beg for their lives while soiling themselves. I was ready to put it down then and there, but I'm glad I didn't, even though the violence got much worse. I thought Releasing Rage was violent, but at least it was just bad people getting their comeuppance. In Breathing Vapor there is some of that, but also mass genocide, including the systematic killing of little children. It was hard to take, and some readers may wish to skip this book for that reason.
Still, I'm not one to trash a good book just because it had dark moments. Some of the most celebrated pieces of literature wouldn't pass that kind of muster. I did really enjoy it, though I cried a lot. Sometimes I wept tears of sadness, other times I wept tears of joy. If you can stomach the violence (and the sex- though I don't understand why anyone wouldn't like reading about sex) I highly recommend it to anyone who enjoys reading science fiction romance novels.

Breathing Vapor Cyborg Sizzle Book 2 eBook Cynthia Sax Reviews
Vapor and Mira are breath taking. Vapor is literally the best at what he does. He's a cyborg assassin. In and out before you even know he's been there. He's unknowingly met his genetic match. He doesn't know there is such a thing. Mira is the yin to his yang. She's a waking, talking, breathing lie. Cyborgs can't lie. Their relationship has a minor element of power exchange of the spanking variety. He's dominant. She's just submissive enough. With a heart that aches to be true. Wow.
I'm pretty much hardcore loving on these cyborgs. Their existence is hard and brutal, they see no compassion from the humans who have enslaved them, and yet they manage to find a way to flourish and plan for a day when they'll be free. I'm seriously curious about how the other cyborgs in captivity will fare as these groups break out. I want to see this. I WANT IT!
But let's talk about Vapor and Mira, shall we? Vapor is...complicated. He sees a job that has to be done and he's determined to do it to advance the cause. But Mira isn't the cold-hearted woman she pretends to be and Vapor has all those pesky emotions bubbling up whenever she's around. As much as he prizes honesty, he has to come to terms with Mira's many lies and half-truths. Because she has reasons for why she does what she does. Reasons that make sense.
Steamy, dangerous, and just what I was looking for when I picked this one up. I'm loving these rough and ready cyborgs something fierce. They're willing to extract bloody revenge from those who have hurt them just as easily as they're eager to show their ladies how hard a cyborg can love. *slow thumbs up*

This book was spot on amazing cyborg goodness! For some reason my first review of this didn't post, I came to check and it was just gone. So I'm writing in again!
Book two gives a much deeper and jarring in sight into the humanoid alliance. From what I can gather humans are basically now just polluting the entire universe because they can, and they have cyborgs to do the big cleansing for them. What they didn't bet on is their intelligence and hunger for freedom.
Enter Mira and Vapor. I felt these two had a much deeper connection than in the first book. This book relied heavily on storytelling. Whereas book one relied more on violence and shock value. Their attraction seemed genuine and even though we didn't see these two grow up together, we felt their connection and knowledge of one another.
A saw a few reviews where people seemed disgusted by this book... I felt this book had better world building and stronger storytelling. I'll be for sure continuing!
I can't wait for Crash's story!
I have the complete set of the Cyborg Sizzle series.
I use the lure of these stories as a reward for exercising 6 days a week. When one is available, I am diligent about making sure I get my minimum amount of daily exercise. In other words, I really enjoy these stories. The heroes are physically strong but emotionally starved half-organic/half-machine cyborgs who have escaped the tyranny of slavery. The heroines are take-no-cr*p strong in their specialties (i.e. engineering, genetics, piloting) and have no real fear of these emotionless (so they're told) war machines.
I found Vapor's and Mira's story the least exciting of the Cyborg Sizzle series that I have read yet and I'm up to 12. I did like Mira's character, her actions, and her motivation much more than Vapor's. As pointed out, the Human Alliance is turning out to be really bad guys and their wickedness continues growing.
I wish these books were longer, with more emotional pull of falling in love. There is an overabundance of sex... which is ok... but I tend to skim that and get to what I consider the meaty part of the couple falling in emotional love.
Still, I'll keep buying and am practically drooling for the next in the series.
After I read Releasing Rage I was looking forward to the next book in series. At first I couldn't read this book fast enough but somewhere at about 60% of the story my interest just fell. The more I read the flatter the story progressed until the lackluster ending. I just wasn't left with the same excitement the first book gave me. I got it, Mira was Vapors everything but the continous inner dialogue of this became tedious and felt like filler. Now I'm left with the choice of deciding to pay for the 3rd book and only curiousity might sway me.
